Another great book out this month

 The Garden Squad is back with another action packed adventure. Headed by Lilly Jayne who always seems to be in the middle of things . Long time friend Leon Tompkins dies unexpected and some of his ole acting buddies and buddiettes gather to say good bye.. Leon had issues but no one expected him to go this quickly. When new evidence points to a not so natural death Lilly knows she needs to start digging and when a second member dies she knows something is a foul.. But how are the two deaths related? Or are they? The more Lilly and her friends dig the more they uncover and the more they put themselves in the pathway of danger. Can they solve the mystery and still come out alive??

Some great books out this month

 Allie McMurphy is back and the reno is finally completed on the McMurphy hotel and fudge shop.. Now she's maid of honor in her bff's Jenn wedding. Jenn's trying to stay busy by planning other weddings and leaving the good stuff up the Allie.. When Jenn's fiance , Shane Carpenter, doesn't show up for a dinner date she calls Allie and they try to find him. And find him they do!! Standing in a dark alley with a bloody knife and a dead man!! Plus a mysterious woman in another corner, who is out cold. Later its learned that the woman is Becky Langford, Shane's ex fiancee!! Yikes. And the dead man is local pharmacist Christopher Harris. Shane can't seem to remember why he was there but then he gets tight lipped and ask Jenn to trust him. Will the wedding go off as planned or will Shane be charged with murder? Allie hates to see Jenn hurting so she does all she can to clear his name however that may come at a price. What if its not Shane who can't make the wedding but Allie!!

The death of Jace Vance was always questionable. The police highly suspect  his widow of causing his death . Alicia Vance is hiding some related to that "accident" but what is the big question. She ask Jamie to help her . However on her way to the Muller farm Alicia meets her end. Is there more to this mystery than meets the eye? Seems the real killer is still out there. Jamie just can't step aside. She knows she needs to let the police handle things but she's driven to clear her new late friends reputation. Can Jamie solve the mystery and bring a killer to justice without endangering herself and those she loves.?

It's nearly Christmas in Beacon Harbor. Lindsey Bakewell,  owner of Beacon Bakeshop is in over her head with orders. When Felicity Stewart announces A cookie contest and bake off it pushes Lindsey overboard.. She's got way too many orders and zero baking help. Out of the blue Carol Nichols arrives and takes over the baking. .Then it's  announced that celebrity judge Chevy Chambers will be the one to judge the contest .Turns out ole Chevy considers himself A ladies man and starts pitting the female contestants  against each other . Only Bradley Argyle  is left alone.. At some point Mr. Chevy ends up dead and kindly ,loveable Carol Nichols is one of the top suspects. Boyfriend Rory and best friend Kennedy won't let Lindsey investigate this crime alone. But will it cost them more than they want to pay?? Lots more I could say but won't. This is  book 2 in a great new series and well worth the read.                                                                                            
                                          

           Delta Douglas is having a Tilly.Tay display set up in her shop but its proving to be way too much for a miniature display!! When Tilly arrives she finishes the display then goes to move her van. She's approached by a man who appears to be a threat but Tilly claims otherwise and moves on.. When the man is found dead in front of the hotel where Tilly is staying she becomes prime suspect. Why? Well seems this man was also her ex husband Bob Weatherspoon. He's a know con man. Was Tilly in on something or was this just a terrible mix up? It's certain Tilly isn't telling the truth but who is she trying to protect? Herself or someone else? Will Delta and her friend Jonas be able to figure out who really did kill Bob without become victims themselves? Lots of great action                                                

Another one out today

 Molly Pink arrives home to find the lights on and the animals out. She prepares for battle only to discover its her oldest son Peter and his girlfriend Gabby. They announce they're moving in for awhile!! So Molly stays in her room and lets them have run of the house. Meanwhile Sloan Renner invites Molly and her friends to take a look at some yarn she runs across while staging a house.. On the day Molly goes to pick up the yarn a drone flies over and drops some yucky stuff on Sloan. Killing her within minutes. But why?? Sure the neighbors were opposed to the home owner renting out the house but would they go as far as murder to stop that? This book was full of non-

 stop action and likeable characters. I enjoyed catching up with Molly and her band of The Tarzana Hookers.

Nathan Branford and Hayley Snow are on their way to Scotland for a long awaited honeymoon but Miss Gloria and Nathan's mom Helen are also going so not much of an alone time for the couple. .While Nathan is off playing golf with his brother in law Hayley, Miss Gloria and Helen all are in the care of Nathan's sister Vera, who is co authoring a book about Scotland's thin places.. But things are happening and when a man falls  from the Falkirk Wheel Hayley can't stay out of things. She knows the death was no accident . Will she figure out what's going on before its too late? Or will there be more victims including her or someone she loves ? Full of non stop action. Great story with realistic characters.

Coming out later this month

 Robbie Jordan , owner of Pan's and Pancakes is preparing for her up coming wedding to Abe O'Neill. When several people get sick from eating her mushroom quiche special and someone even dies. She's shut down. Meanwhile a new shop opens across the road and a food truck appears. How convient. Turns out the owner of that food truck is married to Orlando Krueger who happens to be twin to Abe's ex Jan . Now Jan isn't happy that Abe and Robbie are getting married but would she go as far as switching mushrooms in Robbie's food order? But then Jan tends up dying from the same mushrooms. Now what? Will Robbie even get to her wedding ceremony or is someone out to get her? Lots of good action.

This was the greatest book I've read lately!! I love Sheila Connolly's work and sad there won't be any more to this series. This one had me on edge the entire time starting with the skeleton in the wall. Full of mystery ,an old love affair and even a newer death that ties things all together.  Thank you Sheila for this great book.

 This is a great series and if you're a cat lover you're going to enjoy it. Packed full of action and a perfect cozy.                                                                                                                                                                                        Things are happening at JJ's House of Purrs on Daybreak Island. Jillian Allen , of the Shoreline Animal League wants to raise funds for the group.. Maddie soon learns Jillian and her friend Stevie Warner are cousins and share an interest in a property. So when Jillian turns up dead Stevie becomes prime suspect. But why would Stevie want his cousin dead? Would he inherit the entire property? Or was there more bad blood between them? Maddie and Grandpa Leo dig into the crime but can they keep themselves from becoming the next victims? And what happens to the fund raiser? Great read. Lots of action. Lots more I could add but I don't like giving too much away.

New Books out in July

 A great short read,                                                                                                    Angie Turner and the team from her restaurant ,The County Seat, are on a mission of sorts. They're off to help Carol Stewart pass state I election for her veterans home. But she's not too keen at having their help. But why? And why doesn't she want anyone talking to her current 2 residents? Is there more to this place that Carol doesn't want revealed ? The answer lies within the pages. Great novella and a great cast of characters.

That was a big surprise but even more surprising is when his wife Hadas and his sister Fanya show up. Hadas is certain she'll reclaim Yossi. However Hadas disappears while the others are out and it appears she's been kidnapped. Later the victim calls Martha begging for help . Seems she staged the kidnapping because she is being stalked by a crazy lover. But is she?? Something in her story just doesn't add up and when she disappears again Martha knows something is up.. Can Martha safely stick her nose into things without becoming a victim herself? And what about Hadas ? Is she in danger or is she lying? Great action in this
