 Its almost Christmas in Fallingbrook. A blizzard causes an accident of a tourist bus filled with kids and their parents. Brent Fyne and Emily Westhill are the first to arrive on the scene. The driver, Travis Tarriston insists that the steering gave way but the smell of alcohol is a bit too strong. Travis and a couple passengers are bound for the hospital. All the others are placed with families in the area until a new bus can arrive. Later Tracks is found dead underneath an ice statue. He's wearing a hospital gown and little else. . Why was Travis out and about with no real clothes on ? He seems to have connections to Falling brook but not popular ones. Who wanted him gone? His ex girlfriend? His current girlfriend or someone with a darker reason? Emily just can't sit back and do nothing so despite Brent's advice to steer clear she gets involved but will she get too involved and end up the next victim Out the 26th or before. Great series

Another great book out this month

 The Garden Squad is back with another action packed adventure. Headed by Lilly Jayne who always seems to be in the middle of things . Long time friend Leon Tompkins dies unexpected and some of his ole acting buddies and buddiettes gather to say good bye.. Leon had issues but no one expected him to go this quickly. When new evidence points to a not so natural death Lilly knows she needs to start digging and when a second member dies she knows something is a foul.. But how are the two deaths related? Or are they? The more Lilly and her friends dig the more they uncover and the more they put themselves in the pathway of danger. Can they solve the mystery and still come out alive??

Some great books out this month

 Allie McMurphy is back and the reno is finally completed on the McMurphy hotel and fudge shop.. Now she's maid of honor in her bff's Jenn wedding. Jenn's trying to stay busy by planning other weddings and leaving the good stuff up the Allie.. When Jenn's fiance , Shane Carpenter, doesn't show up for a dinner date she calls Allie and they try to find him. And find him they do!! Standing in a dark alley with a bloody knife and a dead man!! Plus a mysterious woman in another corner, who is out cold. Later its learned that the woman is Becky Langford, Shane's ex fiancee!! Yikes. And the dead man is local pharmacist Christopher Harris. Shane can't seem to remember why he was there but then he gets tight lipped and ask Jenn to trust him. Will the wedding go off as planned or will Shane be charged with murder? Allie hates to see Jenn hurting so she does all she can to clear his name however that may come at a price. What if its not Shane who can't make the wedding but Allie!!

The death of Jace Vance was always questionable. The police highly suspect  his widow of causing his death . Alicia Vance is hiding some related to that "accident" but what is the big question. She ask Jamie to help her . However on her way to the Muller farm Alicia meets her end. Is there more to this mystery than meets the eye? Seems the real killer is still out there. Jamie just can't step aside. She knows she needs to let the police handle things but she's driven to clear her new late friends reputation. Can Jamie solve the mystery and bring a killer to justice without endangering herself and those she loves.?

It's nearly Christmas in Beacon Harbor. Lindsey Bakewell,  owner of Beacon Bakeshop is in over her head with orders. When Felicity Stewart announces A cookie contest and bake off it pushes Lindsey overboard.. She's got way too many orders and zero baking help. Out of the blue Carol Nichols arrives and takes over the baking. .Then it's  announced that celebrity judge Chevy Chambers will be the one to judge the contest .Turns out ole Chevy considers himself A ladies man and starts pitting the female contestants  against each other . Only Bradley Argyle  is left alone.. At some point Mr. Chevy ends up dead and kindly ,loveable Carol Nichols is one of the top suspects. Boyfriend Rory and best friend Kennedy won't let Lindsey investigate this crime alone. But will it cost them more than they want to pay?? Lots more I could say but won't. This is  book 2 in a great new series and well worth the read.                                                                                            
                                          

           Delta Douglas is having a Tilly.Tay display set up in her shop but its proving to be way too much for a miniature display!! When Tilly arrives she finishes the display then goes to move her van. She's approached by a man who appears to be a threat but Tilly claims otherwise and moves on.. When the man is found dead in front of the hotel where Tilly is staying she becomes prime suspect. Why? Well seems this man was also her ex husband Bob Weatherspoon. He's a know con man. Was Tilly in on something or was this just a terrible mix up? It's certain Tilly isn't telling the truth but who is she trying to protect? Herself or someone else? Will Delta and her friend Jonas be able to figure out who really did kill Bob without become victims themselves? Lots of great action                                                

Another one out today

 Molly Pink arrives home to find the lights on and the animals out. She prepares for battle only to discover its her oldest son Peter and his girlfriend Gabby. They announce they're moving in for awhile!! So Molly stays in her room and lets them have run of the house. Meanwhile Sloan Renner invites Molly and her friends to take a look at some yarn she runs across while staging a house.. On the day Molly goes to pick up the yarn a drone flies over and drops some yucky stuff on Sloan. Killing her within minutes. But why?? Sure the neighbors were opposed to the home owner renting out the house but would they go as far as murder to stop that? This book was full of non-

 stop action and likeable characters. I enjoyed catching up with Molly and her band of The Tarzana Hookers.

Nathan Branford and Hayley Snow are on their way to Scotland for a long awaited honeymoon but Miss Gloria and Nathan's mom Helen are also going so not much of an alone time for the couple. .While Nathan is off playing golf with his brother in law Hayley, Miss Gloria and Helen all are in the care of Nathan's sister Vera, who is co authoring a book about Scotland's thin places.. But things are happening and when a man falls  from the Falkirk Wheel Hayley can't stay out of things. She knows the death was no accident . Will she figure out what's going on before its too late? Or will there be more victims including her or someone she loves ? Full of non stop action. Great story with realistic characters.

Coming out later this month

 Robbie Jordan , owner of Pan's and Pancakes is preparing for her up coming wedding to Abe O'Neill. When several people get sick from eating her mushroom quiche special and someone even dies. She's shut down. Meanwhile a new shop opens across the road and a food truck appears. How convient. Turns out the owner of that food truck is married to Orlando Krueger who happens to be twin to Abe's ex Jan . Now Jan isn't happy that Abe and Robbie are getting married but would she go as far as switching mushrooms in Robbie's food order? But then Jan tends up dying from the same mushrooms. Now what? Will Robbie even get to her wedding ceremony or is someone out to get her? Lots of good action.

This was the greatest book I've read lately!! I love Sheila Connolly's work and sad there won't be any more to this series. This one had me on edge the entire time starting with the skeleton in the wall. Full of mystery ,an old love affair and even a newer death that ties things all together.  Thank you Sheila for this great book.

 This is a great series and if you're a cat lover you're going to enjoy it. Packed full of action and a perfect cozy.                                                                                                                                                                                        Things are happening at JJ's House of Purrs on Daybreak Island. Jillian Allen , of the Shoreline Animal League wants to raise funds for the group.. Maddie soon learns Jillian and her friend Stevie Warner are cousins and share an interest in a property. So when Jillian turns up dead Stevie becomes prime suspect. But why would Stevie want his cousin dead? Would he inherit the entire property? Or was there more bad blood between them? Maddie and Grandpa Leo dig into the crime but can they keep themselves from becoming the next victims? And what happens to the fund raiser? Great read. Lots of action. Lots more I could add but I don't like giving too much away.

New Books out in July

 A great short read,                                                                                                    Angie Turner and the team from her restaurant ,The County Seat, are on a mission of sorts. They're off to help Carol Stewart pass state I election for her veterans home. But she's not too keen at having their help. But why? And why doesn't she want anyone talking to her current 2 residents? Is there more to this place that Carol doesn't want revealed ? The answer lies within the pages. Great novella and a great cast of characters.

Martha Rose finally agrees to marry Yossi Levy aka Crushed but learns he's been married for the last 30 yrs !! That was a big surprise but even more surprising is when his wife Hadas and his sister Fanya show up. Hadas is certain she'll reclaim Yossi. However Hadas disappears while the others are out and it appears she's been kidnapped. Later the victim calls Martha begging for help . Seems she staged the kidnapping because she is being stalked by a crazy lover. But is she?? Something in her story just doesn't add up and when she disappears again Martha knows something is up.. Can Martha safely stick her nose into things without becoming a victim herself? And what about Hadas ? Is she in danger or is she lying? Great action in this

Another great one coming out later this month. Lily Roberts owns Tea by the Sea. Her grandmother Rose Campbell owns the B and B .They often have a full house at both places. Heather French is a guest at the B and B. She has invited her family in hopes of reuniting them after years of separation. However it seems that most of them are only after her money and less interested in making amends. She also invites her late husbands brother , Ed French and his wife. Only days later Ed dies supposedly poisoned by the tea Lily served the family. Who hated Ed enough to oust him? His wife, his ex lover or a jealous husband? Can Lily , Rose and their friend Bernie figure out who did it without becoming victims themselves

A great series.

 Torte's own Andy Howard is chosen to compete in the West Coast Barista Cup challenge!! However he might be out before he even gets a chance to compete. One of the judges, Benson Vargas saw Andy spill some beans and wanted him thrown out!! Later one of the drinks Andy makes has WAY too much salt in it and guess who got the lucky cup? Benson. . Andy makes it right by serving the hard nose judge another corrected version.. When Benson ends up dead its Andy's coffee that seems to put an end to him! But what about the others in the competition? There's Sammy unhappy with a 3rd place finish, Diaz is acting a bit weird, James the announcer was heard having words with Benson and Piper isn't happy with him either. So who did Benson in and why?                                                                                                                                       This one is out. A must read.

 I don't care how many books are in this series they are GREAT!! So full of realistic characters and action packed.                                                                                                                                                                    Another great one in The Domestic Diva mystery series. Sophie Winston and her friends will try to solve the murder of Lark Bickford but before they can another victim is discovered. And the list of suspects keeps on growing. Will Sophie figure out who did the killings and when she does will it mean she's the next victim? Great action and great cast of characters. This is a great series but can be read as a stand alone.

Here's another great series with a great cast of characters and action packed Dr. Douglas Martin is found dead in Grace Winston's classroom and Grace just happens to have blood all over her!! But that came from trying to catch a knife--right? Two witnesses say it was. However, one of them is also a step child with no love lost for the Malevolent Monster. Sarah is determined to find the real killer and clear Grace. But what will it cost her? Both these books are now available for pre order.

Here's a great series !! While you can read this as a stand alone it's best started with book # 1. Emily tried to save her but fails. Things aren't looking good for Nina when she can't provide an alibi and she's arrested for the murder. Why was the mime in Nina's apartment? Who was she? And why destroy a painting? Emily promises to let the police handle things but she just can't sit back and allow Nina to go to prision . She knows Nina is innocent but how to prove it and what happens when she finally figures out who did do it?? Will Emily become the next victim ? Lots of action in this latest Deputy Donut Mystery. . Wining and Dying by Daryl Wood Gerber

  Book # 10 in the Cook Book Nook series is due out April 27th. This is a great series and always full of action from page 1. It's also out for pre order .                                                                                                            Jenna Hart is one of 7 finalists in this years Art and Wine festival. The winner will get their art on next years festival posters. Quade and Keller Landry seem to be the favorites for winning but then Quade turns up dead and Keller is prime suspect. Jenna knows or at least hopes ,Keller isn't the killer. So she starts digging . What she discovers isn't what she'd wanted. She realizes she knows very little about her fellow Crystal Cove neighbors. Did one of them have a secret they needed to keep hidden? Can Jenna figure out who did it without putting herself in the killers line of fire?

     An Amish Candy shop mystery book #7.                       This is another great series . While it's a stand alone I suggest you go to the very beginning ( book 1 ) as it will help with identifying the characters and setting the stage for this current book. This one is due out April 27 but again pre order.                                                                                                                                  Bailey King is back in the latest Amish Candy Shop Mystery. This time the crime scene is at Esh Pretzel Shop. Abel and Esther Esh certainly have reason to murder Rosemary Weiss but did they? Or were they framed. ? Neither of them like Bailey but she's determined to help them. But when a little girl named Hannah comes into the picture will it change things or has Bailey finally bit off more than she can chew ? This is a great series.

A Tale of Two Cookies. by Eve Calder

 This is a wonderful series. Each book just keeps getting better. It will hit the market on April 27th but be sure to pre order.                                        Desiree Goldsmith and Judson Cooper are suppose to be getting married on the beach at Coral Cay . Trouble is Judson doesn't show up on the wedding day!! And it seems he never told anyone about a wedding!! What's up with that?? Was it just wishful thinking on Desiree's part and Judson took off to avoid her?? Or has something happen to him?? Desiree enlist Kate McGuire and Maxi Mas-Buchanan to help her find out what happen to Judson.. This is another great Cookie House Mystery filled with wonderful characters and Oliver the dog. Too bad they won't let us give it 10 stars.

Into The Sweet Hereafter by Kaye George.

 I can't believe I forgot to post a review for this great book.  Once you start reading you won't be able to put it down.     It came out on the 9th of March.                                                                                                            Tally Holt and Yolanda Bella are best friends and business owners living in Fredericksburg, Texas. Things are going on in town.. Petty crimes and the likes even though the crime watchers group -- The Crime Fritters are one the job.. Yolanda's shop window is targeted but what's taken is a bit puzzling. Until its likely that the stolen items contained smuggled jade.. That's when things get interesting. Strangers showing up in town, bodies being found . and victims being beaten. Tally is trying to figure out how everything is connected but she might just have poked her nose in too far this time. This just might be her final event. Great book. Love the cast and while this could be a stand alone its best read starting with the first book..

Picture Perfect Frame by Lynn Cahoon

 Here's the latest book in the Tourist Trap series. This series is a great one. The characters are realistic and the story line is always great.     It came out March 16, 2021                                                                                                                                    It's Spring time in South Cove. Jill Gardner and her boyfriend Greg King are enjoying  a paint and sip event  at the new business Drunken Art Studio, sponsored by newcomers Meredith and Neal Cole. There they meet a drunk pair Steve and Nan Gunter. Greg is hoping they don't get under the wheel so when Neal offers to drive them to their room Greg is relieved and enjoys the class. The next morning Nan is found dead inside the studio and all signs point to Esmeralda the town dispatcher and local fortune teller. This puts the town into division. Some say she's a witch, burn her at the stake while others can't even imagine her doing a crime.. Jill isn't about to sit back and let an innocent woman go to prison but there are far too clues as to anyone else. Can she help solve the crime or will she become the next victim. ?  Great series and realistic characters.                                                                                                                                    Come follow the crew.  This one comes out on March 30, 2021.                                                                                                                         Addie Greyborne is super busy with her friend Serena's wedding when Marc pulls her in to try to identify a piece of book found on a dead body. Following the wedding another guest is found dead and all those still aboard the yacht are ask to remain. All Addie wants to do is to get into the library and get her hands on some of Oliver Ludlow s fancy books. But the minute Addie opens the first book she realizes that its a fake. Mr. Ludlow insists otherwise. So Addie continues to dig into the books. Its not until she picks up Affairs at Styles and finds blood. Not only blood but the bottom corner is missing a piece. The piece matches the piece found on the dead man. Further investigation finds the murder took place in that very library but the blood isn't that of the dead man. However finding the killer or killers proves to be a challenge as there are too many suspects with too many reasons for them to want to commit a murder/ murders . Hello

 Well hello long time no see. Lost the link to this blog a long time ago. I've been reviewing advanced readers copies ( ARC ) of my favorite books and had to have a blog. I love #cozy mysteries and managed to find a place that offers arc's. All one needs to do is post reviews. Can't beat that.                                                   How is everyone doing these days? We've managed to stay free of this crazy thing called Covid. Hoping to continue that trend until it's gone.                                                                                                             All my grand kids are grown 😢😢 so no more silly stories. I did become a great grand mother in April 2019 and will be getting a 2nd GGC in mid Sept . ❤❤                                                                                  Now hopefully I can remember where I parked this blog. Lol.
